  • To the Camden Community- Proposed Outer Sydney Orbital (M9) Corridor

    Posted on 4 April, 2018

From the outset, I would like to say that I do not support the proposed current route which encompasses the Camden electorate.

I fully support the preservation of a corridor, however at the same time understand the concerns of residents and the impact the proposed corridor will have on our community.

All residents that are affected or would like to have a say are encouraged to lodge a submission.

Since this announcement I have taken on community concerns and been successful in getting the public exhibition period extended to June 1 2018.  Details of where to lodge your submission are at the bottom of this letter.

This is an integral part of the process and your views will make a difference.

Towards the end of the public exhibition period I will also be lodging a submission after I have attended community meetings, spoken with residents and read correspondence sent to me to include your concerns.  My submission will be made public.

I have a strong history of taking on board community feedback on a number of major local issues, the most recent being the South West Rail Link extension to Narellan.  This proposal was above ground through Harrington Park, Harrington Grove and Oran Park.  The finalised corridor, after the public exhibition process, is very different to the original corridor proposal.

Again, I have taken and will continue to take the concerns of the Camden community on this major issue back to the Premier and appropriate Ministers and will always advocate for a better outcome for all residents.

Please feel free to contact my office at any time should you have further comments or concerns.

    Submissions can be sent to:

    Yours sincerely
